Pirates Release Second Yemeni Boat

A call on Arab parties & institutions for boosting democratic values
Chairman of Al-Saleh Society for Social Development in Yemen Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh on Sunday called emphasised the importance of Arab politicians and intellectuals role in enhancement of democratic culture and values of tolerance among the youth and Arab peoples and the creation of a strong and civilized Arab generation in addition to be proud of their Arab national identity.
At the concluding party of meetings of the Arab Society for Political Sciences in Sana'a Sunday Ahmed Ali said, "The respectful Arab intellectuals and thinkers are on whom the Arab nation depends for the creation of and building Arab youth qualified and capable of facing challenges of the future and performing the tasks on their shoulders."
He added that it is the duty of thinkers and intellectuals to contribute to offer the science that broadens understanding of the youth and opens for them the gates of knowledge that enables them to discover the problems facing the advance of the nation's ,march.
He said knowledge and technology are among the means or the realization of the Arab nation goals in unity, advancement and high standard, stressing on joining all forces for achieving those goals.
Mr Ahmed Ali maintained that the duty of political parties, civil society organisations and official establishments to cooperate and unify efforts for enhancement of values of democracy freedom and the culture of tolerance, accepting the opinion and other opinion in the Arab societies where practice of democracy's something new and this entails that " the responsibility is on us all to benefit from democracy and to work together, authority and opposition, for pushing forward the process of construction and achieving development in the manner serving he interests of our peoples and not to misuse it."
He called on the Arab elite of intellectuals and thinkers and politicians to adopt a new message keeping pace with world and regional variables and the new reality of the world and stresses the democratic culture and freedom and political awakening.
The Arab Society for Political Sciences has concluded its three-day meetings with the election of a new administrative body chaired by Dr Ahmed al-Kibsi.
