Pirates Release Second Yemeni Boat

Yemen Foreign Affairs did not prevent UK ambassador, he was taken ill suddenly’ Al-Qirbi said
Yemen Online - December 3,2008- Dr.Abu Bakr al-Qirbi Minister of Foreign Affairs told YemenOnline that Mr. Tim Torlo Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Sanaa was taken ill suddenly because of a problem in the intestine while he was attending the Yemeni Coast Guard exercises in the governorate of Aden. An U.S. Navy doctor supervised the treatment of the British ambassador. Because of this,he could not attend the meeting with the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) organized in Al-Daleh governorate today.
Dr.Al-Qirbi pointed out that JMP called foreign ambassadors to join their meetings trying to drag them in the political discord between them and the ruling party, however, foreign ambassadors represent their countries to the Government of the Republic of Yemen and not to political parties’ Al-Qirbi added.
political sources expressed amazement at a political storm raised by JMP media which announced that the government prevented the British Ambassador to attend the meeting, while they always been the practice to meet the foreign ambassadors of without any prevention or banned from any official body.
