A training course on non-violence and confronting the culture of extremism in Sana'a launched
YemenOnline. February 3, 2009 -  The third training session for peace activists (Non-violence and Confronting the Culture of Extremism), organized by Dar Al-Salaam organization and supported by the Dutch Embassy in Yemen, began in Sana'a on Tuesday, with 50 participants from civil society organizations.  The two-day session aim to reduce the effects of religious extremism and violence issues in the community and to provide the participants with information and statistics associated with the field work of the organization - the public relations mechanism involved in the work of the peace activists, as well as communication with the media and with individual volunteers and providing them with information " Preparing peace activists is one of the main objectives of the organization in the fight against violence and vengeance and to solve the tribal tendencies and warned of misusing firearms Preparing peace activists from various civil society organizations falls within." said the organization Chairman-Abdull Rahman Yahya Al-marwani.   

He highlighted the fact that building a generation of a high degree of awareness of human responsibility in addressing its national and human issues is one of the most important objectives that the organization seeks to achieve.
