Yemen to establish an infrastructure for the security region of Arab Sea.

Feb 11, 2009 – The Ministry of Interior is heading towards setting up an infrastructure of the security region of Arabian Sea and establishing a coastal monitoring system for Aden Gulf, the aim of which is to limit terrorist operations and organized crime, including the fight against piracy, Minister of Interior Major General Mutahar Al-Masri said.
He added, in a speech he delivered at the opening the regional conference of naval security, which began yesterday in Sana'a, that Ministry of Interior is discussing with the Italian government the implementation of the second phase of the coastal surveillance system in the Arab Sea."
