Yemen denies US allegations that Yemenis support Somali pirates.
March 10 – An official source in Yemen Coast Guards denied the what has been alleged in the statement attributed to the American Admiral, Sir Mark Fitzgerald that Yemenis supply the Somali pirates with fuel and land engines. Confirming that those allegations are unfounded, and indicating Yemen's persistent efforts to fight piracy and support the concerned international entities in this regard, the source added in a statement to 26 September.net that Yemen is a victim to piracy and that the effects of piracy on Yemen are dire.
