Verdicts against Al-Khaiwani dropped, Yemen President announces.
YemenOnline. March 14 – At the opening ceremony of the Fourth General Conference of the Journalists Syndicate- held in Sana'a this morning - President Ali Saleh announced that the verdicts against Abdullkarim Al-Khaiwani, a Yemeni journalist, are dropped. Emphasizing his unlimited support to the next leadership of the Press Syndicate, the President directed the Ministry of Information to issue a law allowing individuals and entities the freedom to establish satellite and radio channels, as well as issuing permits to those newspapers suspended by the Ministry.  

"The Press does not mean confrontations or conflicts, on the contrary , it is all about education and development, and creating the culture of love and loyalty", he added, stressing the importance of pursuing accuracy of information being published.
