Is al Qaeda behind the killing and abduction of the nine foreigners in Yemen?
YemenOnline.June 15,2009- While the government and Al-houthi rebels exchanged accusations over kidnapping and killing 9 of foreigners , some voices began to point to the involvement of al-Qaeda members in Yemen.The politicians declared that Al- Qaeda is working to create chaos in Yemen and the region. What has happened is a clear example, where both the government and the Houthis are not benefiting from the killing and the kidnapping of nine foreigners . vice versa both sides lose. Al-houthis call for international society’s support as well as their leader Yahea Al-Houthi currently is living in Germany. Therefore, it is difficult to say that they take any aggressive against any foreigners in Yemen .On the other hand ,the government still accusing Al-Houthis carrying them full responsibility for the abduction and killing of the foreigners in Sada’a.
