Iranian official meets Yemeni Shiite militants
Regional intelligence sources have discovered that a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards official held a summit with representatives from  Hizbolla and the Shiite rebels in Yemen, the London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported.

The Arab paper reported that the meeting was held in order to coordinate rebellion against Saudi and Yemeni authorities on the border between the two countries.

The intelligence sources cited in the report say last month's summit is proof of Iran's direct economic, military, and logistical support for the rebels.

The sources say Arab and Western intelligence agencies worked together to find out about the meeting and that the information has been conveyed to Yemeni authorities.

Yemen, on its part, announced yet again that Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki was a persona  non-grata in the country due to his confession of the Islamic Republic's direct involvement with Yemen's rebel force.

Authorities in Yemen have succeeded recently in thwarting a number of Iranian attempts to deliver arms to the rebels through the sea.
