 Yemen and the European Union (EU) discussed  on Wednesday the European aid required to overcome the current situation in the country.

This came in a meeting gathered Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa with EU Delegation's Head and ambassador to Yemen Michele Cervone d'Urso, where they also discussed the cooperation relations between Yemen and the EU.

The progress in the Gulf initiative's implementation and exerted efforts to tackle the current situation in the country were touched upon in the meeting of the Premier and the EU diplomat, who also reviewed the ongoing arrangements for the early presidential elections scheduled to be held on February 21.
