Europe supports efforts to enlist Socotra in World Heritage Site
SANA'A, April 17 (Saba)- Ambassadors of France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Czech and Netherlands asserted their countries' support to enlist the Socotra archipelago in the World Heritage List.

During a visit to the Socotra Island with the Minister of Water and Environment, the European diplomats expressed their admiration of the unique nature of the archipelago and its environmental diversity.

According to the two-day visit program for the archipelago, the diplomats would inspect several projects and programs funded by the European commission.

International Center for Monitoring Environment has listed Socotra among 12 rich world archipelagoes and islands with a diversity of plants.
