The group is visiting countries of the region to better understand the challenges confronting the people living there. This is a group of successful business people from the United States are interested in learning more about business in Yemen and the region.
As part of their orientation, they visited the United States Embassy and met with Chargé Dr. Nabeel Khoury, who said: “We are delighted to receive such an illustrious group. Yemen’s stability depends on economic growth and democracy. The U.S. Embassy in Sanaa is naturally interested in increasing commercial ties between the U.S. and Yemen and in assisting in Yemen’s development. Yemen’s strategic location makes it a key to stability not only in the Horn of Africa but also in the Middle East. It is therefore fitting that this group visit Yemen after concluding their tour of the Horn.”
