World Bank grants Yemen 100 million to reduce food prices
YemenOnline-June16,2008- World Bank grants Yemen 100 million to cope the rise of prices which recently witnessed by Yemen and the world.
The agreement was singed by deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdullah al-Shater, and the director of the WB's Europe and Central Asia region Sector Roberta Gatti.
Under the agreement, the WB has to loan the Yemeni government $10 million that would to be used in repair agricultural cirques and tanking water and paving rural roads.
It is worth mentioning, the WB's grant comes in the framework of the bank's contributions have been approved newly to assist many development countries in shrinking the price hike.
