(A new law will allow launching private TV Channels) Information Minister says
YemenOnline-June16,2008 Yemen's Minister of Information Hassan al-Lawzi announced that there is a law is in the way of issuance which will permit launching private sector satellite TV channels in Yemen.
During the opening of a two-day Broadcasting and Television Festival organized by Broadcasting and Television Department at Information College of Sana'a University last Sunday, the Minister said his Ministry held discussions with Ministries of Legal Affairs and Communications & Information Technology for the drafting of the law that would be finished soon and would allow the establishments of private TV Channels.
