Yemen will embrace the elections on schedule and the Parliament to discuss the constitutional amendments tomorrow “ Al-Shami says

YemenOnline- August 3,2008- Mr.Tariq Al-Shami,Head of the information department of General People Congress (GPC)  confirmed  to YemenOnline that the Yemeni parliament is going to discuss the constitutional amendments for the elections tomorrow . GPC could  reach  an agreement on amendments of the elections law in dialogue sessions, with the leadership of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP)" Al-Shami says. He pointed out referring some small details to parliament to be decided by the MPs as the parliament is the side concerned with studying draft amendments of laws and legislations , discussing them and voting on them.  In his statement to YemenOnline, Al- Shami added it is not acceptable the waving of resorting to agitate the street and excite seditions in the form of demonstrations and sit-ins, indicating there is no problem concerning the practice of peaceful political activity as long as that is done within the constitution and the law .  The Head of the GPC information deaprtment said that  the GPC concept of political accord is that which the national interest requires according to the constitution and the law, other than that cannot be described as accord but rather political extortion at the expense of the constitution and the law.
