Yemeni Houthis release detained Jordanian
Jordan said on Saturday that Yemen's Houthis released a Jordanian who had been in detention since February.
Jordan's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said that the Jordanian citizen arrived in Amman early on the day after all measures for his transfer had been completed and was in a good condition.
He added that the release followed thorough coordination between the ministry and the state agencies.
The ministry's statement, a copy of which was obtained by Xinhua, did not elaborate on the reasons of the detention.
Jordan is part of the Saudi-led coalition involved in the war in Yemen in support of the exiled Yemeni government against the Iran-allied Houthis.
