UAE welcomes ceasefire announcement between Iran and Israel

UAE commends diplomatic efforts by US and Qatar
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) commended the diplomatic efforts of US President Donald Trump and the constructive role played by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, in facilitating the ceasefire agreement. The UAE emphasised the need for continued coordination to prevent further escalation and to reduce the humanitarian and security consequences in the region.

The UAE reiterated its steadfast position on the importance of exercising maximum restraint and prioritising political solutions and dialogue. The country stressed that continued conflict undermines regional development and endangers the safety and security of its people.
