Israel says Yemen’s Houthis targeted Ben Gurion Airport, military base
Israel's military confirmed a missile was fired from Yemen on Sunday morning, triggering sirens across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
AFP journalists reported hearing explosions near Jerusalem and at Ben-Gurion Airport, Israel’s main airport near Tel Aviv.
According to an Israeli military statement, “Several attempts were made to intercept the missile,” and “reports were received regarding a fallen projectile in central Israel.” The details are still under review.
Israeli journalist Amit Segal reported that the impact may have occurred near the airport. No casualties have been reported so far.
