Bulldozers are working to build a road between the mountains that they hope will become a major artery for die besieged city of Taiz, die is besieged by the Houthis in Yemen and connects them to the city of Aden, the provisional capital of the Yemeni government.
The Zreikat Al-Sham road project started six months ago with a local initiative. The project relies on donations from Yemeni business people and citizens. The road begins in the Al-Shamaitain district in Taiz, runs through Balhj until they reach Al-Buraiqah in Aden reached.
