The United Arab Emirates has intensified its humanitarian operations in Gaza as the starvation crisis deepens across the besieged enclave. 

In partnership with Jordan, the UAE carried out coordinated airdrops delivering approximately 25 tons of food and medical supplies to civilians in areas cut off from ground access. 

These airdrops came alongside Israel’s temporary daily ceasefire announcement, allowing a 10-hour pause in military activity across specific zones such as Gaza City and central Deir al-Balah to enable the flow of aid.

Despite the efforts, challenges on the ground remain dire. 

Ten individuals sustained injuries after being struck by falling crates during the airdrops. Moreover, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported 38 deaths from overnight Israeli airstrikes, including 23 civilians searching for food and 17 others who had gathered at aid distribution points.

The situation continues to deteriorate, with the United Nations welcoming the recent aid efforts while urging for a comprehensive ceasefire to ensure broader humanitarian access. 

To date, malnutrition has claimed the lives of 133 individuals, among them 87 children, painting a grim portrait of the growing crisis and the urgent need for sustained international response.
