Yemen: car bomb explosion kills 2 in Shabwa
On Thursday, as many as two persons were murdered when a booby-trapped vehicle blasted close to a military checkpoint in Yemen's southeastern province of Shabwa, a security official informed Xinhua.
The four-wheel-drive vehicle, loaded with huge amounts of explosive devices, blasted close to the military checkpoint in Markha district of Shabwa Province, and killed two
individuals at the scene, the source stated on condition of secrecy.
The source added that the attack left no casualties among the soldiers.
In the meantime, a government official based in Shabwa informed Xinhua by phone that the vehicle belongs to a weapons trader and "exploded by accident, killing only two on board."
