At least 18 killed in Yemeni presidency clashes: official report

At least 18 people were killed in the clashes occurred on 19 and 20 January in the Capital between the Presidential Guards and AnsarAllah, an official report said on Thursday.
Almost 96 others were injured from both sides, according to the report read out by Director of al-Sabeen district Mohamed Naji in a meeting of the capital local authority and al-Sabeen district council chaired by Mayor Abdulqader Hilal.
The meeting was aimed to form counting committees to the damages in the clash-affected areas surrounding the Presidential House. Hilal charged a committee to count damages in properties and infrastructure caused by the clashes of last Monday and Tuesday. The damage report will be referred to the Cabinet.
The Mayor affirmed the importance of all the political parties to involve in political solution and implement the outcomes of the National Dialogue and Peace and National Partnership Agreement, as they are the only guarantees for the security and stability of Yemen.
After the meeting, Hilal carried out an inspection tour at the affected areas in al-Sabeen district.
