UN Security Council to follow up situation in Yemen

Security Council will hold its monthly session next Friday to follow up on developments in the situation in Yemen.
Council sources said that the session will be of a consultative nature (closed) and will be chaired by Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, alongside Edam and Somo, Director of the United Nations Department of Humanitarian Operations, in addition to the Chairman of the Committee to Follow Up the Implementation of the Hodeidah Agreement, General Michael Perry.
It should be noted that the United Nations committee concerned with monitoring the sanctions imposed on Yemen under UN Resolution 2140 is scheduled to present to the Security Council next Friday the experts’ report in this regard, which is the same day that the United Nations Military Committee will hold its meeting at the United Nations headquarters.
