Merchant ship reports shots fired off Yemen: Ambrey
Ambrey said that the merchant vessel reported shots from a boat approximately 109 nautical miles south of Yemen's Nishtun.
The guards on the merchant vessel returned fire on the boat.
Ambrey said that the ship quickly accelerated and escaped the danger after the incident, and no casualties or damages were inflicted upon it.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency reported the same incident on Thursday.
In recent months, the Yemeni armed forces have targeted several ships belonging to the Zionist regime or cargo ships bound for the occupied territories in the Red Sea in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
