UN envoy visits Yemen seeking for a political solution in Aden, Sanaa

A team from the office of United Nations special Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, will be visiting the temporary capital of Aden and then head to the capital Sanaa, a senior UN source has confirmed.
The source added that the visit is aimed at preparing for a new round of peace talks if the parties "demonstrate a sincere intention to reach a peaceful political solution".
A Yemeni governmental source said that preparations are underway in Aden to receive the UN envoy’s team.
However, a source in al-Sheikh’s office said that the UN plane will not land in Sanaa before the Houthis commit to decreasing violent acts against the leaders of the General Congress Party.
