Arab interior ministers discussed in Tunisia the security threats embodied in terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other types of supranational crimes, asserting eagerness to pursue joint cooperation to preserve the stability of the Arab World. 

The council's secretariat general called upon interior ministries of member states to support the police in Yemen, and Comoros. 

That was during the 36th Session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council held in Tunisia. 
The council endorsed the ninth periodic payment plan to combat illegal use of drugs and narcotics, the eighth periodic payment plan to combat terrorism, and the fifth periodic payment plan for firefighting. 

The council also endorsed the recommendations of all meetings and conferences organized over the past year as well as the 2018 reports on state of work of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the activities of the council's general secretariat. 
The participants expressed gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for supporting the university. 

The 36th session was chaired by Prince Abdel Aziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdel Aziz Al-Saud, the Saudi interior minister, the honorary chairman of the council, and the president of the university's supreme council.
