7 Ethiopian migrants injured in landmine blast in N. Yemen: medics
Seven Ethiopian migrants were injured in a landmine blast in Yemen's northern province of Al-Jawf on Wednesday, said.
The accident occurred in the early morning when the migrants were walking in the area of al-Labinat in the eastern part of al-Hazm, the Houthi-held capital city of the border province.
Migrants often choose to illegally cross into Saudi Arabia through Al-Jawf.
According to the International Organization for Migration, Yemen remains a transit country for thousands of migrants travelling between the Horn of Africa and Saudi Arabia despite years of civil war in the country.
