Yemen's Houthi group said on Thursday night that it had launched a new ballistic missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel, which was reportedly intercepted by Israeli defense systems earlier in the night. 

The Houthis stated that their military operation aimed to impose a ban on air navigation at Ben Gurion Airport until Israel ceases its offensive in Gaza. 

Israeli authorities confirmed that air-raid sirens were activated across central Israel, and residents were alerted via mobile notifications. 

While no casualties were reported, several individuals suffered minor injuries while rushing to shelter.

This latest attack is part of a series of missile strikes launched by the Houthis against Israel since March, following renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. The Israeli military has responded with airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.

The situation remains tense as both sides continue their military operations, with international observers closely monitoring developments.
