Geneva -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has launched its 2026 Global Appeal, calling on donors to provide over $100 million to sustain humanitarian operations in Yemen.

 The funding is intended to support millions of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and more than 200,000 migrants stranded in the country amid ongoing conflict and economic collapse.

According to IOM, Yemen remains one of the world’s most complex humanitarian crises, where displacement, food insecurity, and lack of access to basic services continue to devastate communities. 

The organization stressed that without adequate funding, lifesaving programs including shelter, healthcare, clean water, and protection services risk being scaled back.

“IOM is deeply concerned about the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen,” the agency said in its appeal. “We urgently need donor support to ensure displaced families and stranded migrants receive the assistance they need to survive and rebuild their lives.”
