Three Civilians Killed in Hit-and-Run by Houthi Vehicle in Yemen’s Al-Hudaydah
Al-Hudaydah – Three civilians were killed on Thursday in a hit-and-run incident involving a military vehicle operated by Houthi-affiliated forces in the Al-Mansuriyah district of Al-Hudaydah governorate, western Yemen.
Local sources reported that the armored vehicle, commonly referred to as a “Taqm,” struck the victims while speeding through a residential area. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the driver did not stop and fled the scene immediately after the incident.
The victims, all unarmed civilians, died at the scene due to the severity of their injuries. Their identities have not yet been publicly released.
Residents condemned the incident, describing it as part of a broader pattern of reckless behavior and impunity by armed groups operating in the region. No official statement has been issued by Houthi authorities regarding the incident.
Human rights advocates have called for an independent investigation and accountability for those responsible.
