Yemen : U.S. Embassy Slams Houthi Exploitation of Dhale–Sana’a Road

Aden – U.S. Embassy in Yemen has condemned the Houthi militia for turning the Dhale–Sana’a road into a tool of extortion and abuse.
According to the embassy, Houthi forces have imposed illegal tolls, confiscated food and medicine, and harassed travelers at multiple checkpoints along the route.
The embassy accused the group of using the road to protect its profits and obstruct humanitarian aid, calling the actions a violation of international law. Rights groups report thousands of abuses on similar routes, including killings, abductions, and looting of aid convoys.
