Yemen : Coast Guard Recovers Body of Drowned Teen on Al-Shihr Coast in Hadramout

Hadramout — Yemeni Coast Guard teams recovered the body of a teenage boy on Thursday, one day after he drowned while swimming off the coast of Al-Shihr in Hadramout governorate.
The victim, a resident of Ghail Bawazeer, was swept away by strong currents while swimming with a group of friends near the Fakher beach east of Al-Shihr.
Rescue teams managed to save seven others, including a child, but the boy remained missing until his body was found several kilometers from the original drowning site.
Officials said the recovery highlights the dangerous conditions along the coast and urged citizens to exercise caution, especially during the summer season when tides and currents intensify.
