UK Ambassador to Yemen: International Cooperation Key to Stability and Prosperity
Aden — British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting Yemen’s path toward peace and recovery, emphasizing that international cooperation remains the cornerstone for achieving lasting stability and prosperity in the war-torn country.
Speaking during a diplomatic roundtable in Aden attended by UN officials, humanitarian agencies, and Yemeni civil society representatives, Ambassador Sharif stressed the importance of unified global efforts to address Yemen’s complex challenges. “Only through coordinated international action can Yemen move toward a future of peace, development, and dignity for all its people,” she stated.
The ambassador highlighted the UK’s ongoing support for UN-led peace initiatives, humanitarian relief operations, and economic recovery programs. She also called on regional actors and global partners to intensify their engagement and ensure that aid reaches those most in need.
Her remarks come amid renewed diplomatic momentum surrounding Yemen’s peace process, with growing calls for inclusive dialogue and confidence-building measures between all parties.
