In a significant escalation, the United States has launched over 40 airstrikes targeting Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. The strikes, which reportedly focused on Saada province and other key locations, are part of Washington's ongoing efforts to counter Houthi attacks on international shipping routes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. Central Command confirmed the operations, emphasizing their aim to degrade the Houthis' military capabilities. Meanwhile, Houthi media reported widespread damage and casualties, sparking protests in the region. 

The Houthis, aligned with Iran, have been accused of disrupting global trade routes and launching attacks in solidarity with Gaza during the ongoing Middle Eastern crisis.
