London — The United Kingdom has announced new sanctions targeting Hussein al-Houthi, son of Abdulmalik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthi militia in Yemen. The measures include an asset freeze and travel ban, as part of Britain’s broader effort to pressure the group and its leadership.

According to the UK’s updated sanctions regulations, Hussein al-Houthi has been added to the list of designated individuals accused of undermining peace and stability in Yemen. The sanctions prohibit UK citizens and companies from providing him with funds or economic resources, while also restricting his ability to travel internationally.
