Yemen's Houthis claim drone attacks on targets in Israel

Yemen’s Houthis said today it had carried out multiple drone attacks on central and southern Israel, including a joint strike with an Iranian-Iraqi military group.
“We carried out a joint operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq on vital Israeli targets in southern occupied Palestine using several drones,” Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said on social media.
“We also launched a significant military drone operation targeting an Israeli military site in occupied Jaffa,” he added.
The announcement came a day after the Houthis carried out three military operations against Israeli positions, coinciding with Israeli airstrikes on the Yemeni cities of Sanaa and Al Hudaydah.
Although neither the Islamic Resistance in Iraq nor Israel commented on the attacks, Saree claims that the operations successfully hit their intended targets.
In a show of solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is facing devastating Israeli offensives, the Houthis have been targeting Israeli cargo ships in the Red Sea or those bound for Tel Aviv with missiles and drones, and carrying out attacks on Israel.
From In early 2024, a coalition led by the United States (US) carried out airstrikes on Houthi positions in parts of Yemen in response to the group’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
With Washington and London intervening and tensions escalating, the Houthis announced that they considered all American and British ships to be military targets.
