Israeli Security Establishment Warns of Yemen's Houthis Military Rebuild
Tel Aviv – Israel’s security establishment has assessed that Yemen’s Houthi militias, with direct backing from Iran, are pressing ahead with rebuilding their military capabilities despite months of precise airstrikes and disruption operations.
According to these assessments, the recovery of the Houthis’ missile and aerial capabilities could open the door to potential attacks on Israel’s strategic depth, particularly if the Israeli army resumes ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip.
The Hebrew-language news site Walla reported Monday that Israel’s Military Intelligence Directorate has expanded its efforts in information gathering and research, with an increasing focus on the Houthis’ military infrastructure and external support channels.
This development underscores growing Israeli concerns about the regional reach of Iran-backed groups, as intelligence officials warn that the Houthis’ resurgence may pose new security challenges beyond Yemen’s borders.
