UN Envoy to Yemen Welcomes Reopening of Al-Dhalea Road

Aden – UN Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, has welcomed the reopening of Al-Dhalea Road, which connects Sana’a and Aden, after years of closure due to the armed conflict.
In an official statement, Grundberg described the move as "an important breakthrough" that will ease the suffering of civilians by facilitating travel and reducing journey times between major cities.
He also urged all parties to continue efforts to reopen more blocked roads, emphasizing the need for additional steps to improve the humanitarian situation in the country.
The reopening of this road marks a significant step toward boosting commercial activity, improving access to humanitarian aid, and advancing calm and stability in Yemen.
