Sana’a — Local sources reported that four civilians, including two women and a child, were killed when an armed assailant opened fire on their vehicle in Khawlan Street, a busy area of the Yemeni capital Sana’a.

Witnesses said the victims were traveling in a private car when they came under direct fire, leaving all passengers dead at the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility.

The incident has sparked fear among residents, highlighting the fragile security situation in the city, which has been under the control of the Houthi movement since 2014.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, while community members expressed concern over the rising risks faced by civilians amid ongoing instability.
