New Border Regulation Bars Children Under 18 Without Notarized Authorization in Yemen-Saudi Route
Al-Wadi‘ah – Local sources at Yemen’s Al-Wadi‘ah border crossing with Saudi Arabia have reported the implementation of a new regulation prohibiting children under the age of 18 from entering Saudi territory on family visit visas unless accompanied by a legal authorization issued by their father to the accompanying guardian or vehicle driver.
According to the sources, several travelers were recently turned back for failing to meet this requirement. Officials confirmed that the measure is newly introduced and aims to regulate the entry of minors while ensuring their legal protection during travel.
Border authorities have urged parents and travelers to secure notarized authorizations in advance to avoid delays or denial of entry at crossing points. They noted that passenger movement through the crossing is currently proceeding smoothly, with no significant congestion reported.
