Yemeni actor Hassan Alwan dies from coronavirus aged 58

Yemeni actor Hassan Alwan died on Monday in the city of Ibb after contracting the coronavirus.
Born in 1962, the actor suffered from pre-existing heart disease.
Alwan started his career in the theatre, taking part in a number of plays in the 90s as an actor and a director.
He found fame portraying the character of Sheikh Taffah over five seasons of Yemeni comedy-drama series Hami Hamak.
Many actors from the Arab world posted condolences messages after news of his death.
