Yemen : Police in Marib Launch Investigations into Two Separate Suicide Cases
MARIB — Security sources reported that police in Marib governorate have opened investigations into two separate suicide incidents that occurred in recent days.
The Security Media Center of the Ministry of Interior said police units began inquiries after the body of an 18-year-old girl was brought to a local hospital.
Preliminary information indicates she took her own life by hanging in the bathroom of her brother’s home.
According to the center, the girl had been under pressure and attempts were made to force her back to her husband’s house, circumstances that allegedly led her to commit suicide.
In a separate case, the center confirmed that police also launched an investigation into the suicide of a 20-year-old man. Authorities stated that search and evidence-gathering procedures are ongoing to determine the circumstances and motives behind the incident.
Officials emphasized that both cases remain under active investigation as police continue efforts to uncover the full details.
