Massive fire engulfs a commercial center in Yemen’s Ibb

A huge fire broke out on Monday evening at Gaith Al-Tafwir Commercial Center on Al-Awqaf Street in Ibb city, central Yemen, causing significant material losses and completely consuming the building.
Local sources reported that the fire started on the upper floor of the center before spreading rapidly throughout the structure. Civil defense teams arrived late and were unable to contain the flames in time.
So far, the cause of the fire remains unknown, but preliminary reports suggest it was due to an electrical short circuit. Eyewitnesses stated that the blaze lasted for hours, causing panic among residents who gathered at the scene to watch the firefighting efforts.
Local authorities have confirmed that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident. Meanwhile, citizens have called for enhanced safety measures in commercial facilities to prevent similar disasters in the future.
