Lahj – Houthi militias carried out heavy and indiscriminate shelling on Saturday evening, targeting residential neighborhoods in Al-Musaymir district of Lahj province, southern Yemen, according to local sources.
The sources reported that mortar shells fired by the Houthis landed near densely populated areas, sparking panic among residents, particularly women and children. No casualties were immediately recorded.
The sources further noted that the Houthis frequently resort to similar attacks aimed at terrorizing civilians and causing casualties among the population, in an apparent attempt to project an image of maintaining control and initiative on the ground.
